News and Politics editor Lorna Tychostup will be returning to Iraq this summer after a visit to Morocco.  As Lorna proved with her dispatches from Iraq earlier this year, she is able to send back the stories that you can't read about it in the mainstream media.  Now more than ever there is a compelling need for locally produced independent media.  We believe our role as an alternative information source serves to make our democracy stronger.  We assume that our readers share that belief, and that's why we are asking for your help.  Unfortunately, Chronogram does not have the resources to fully fund Lorna's journey, so we are again appealing to the community which has so generously supported us in the past.
