The 9th annual blues bash at the Nevele Resort, B2K4 again provides music, food, Keegan Ales, and more music with Little Sammy Davis and almost two dozen other smokin' acts. With her sophomore CD ready to drop (Afrodite on Mental Records) this downtown pop princess graces our hills with a handful of local shows. After headlining the Woodstock Tattoo Fest last month, Coppola brings her new band (featuring local axman Johnny Wong of Wooden Rope) to Forum Lounge, the hardest working little club in show business. OREGON
OCTOBER 16.
Oregon was founded in 1970 by former Paul Winter Consort players Ralph Towner (guitar) and Glen Moore (bass) and 1978's Out of the Woods made Len Lyons' list of 101 Best Jazz Albums. Joining Towner, Moore, and Paul McCandless on woodwinds, percussionist Mark Walker joined Oregon in 1996. The double CD Oregon in Moscow, with the Moscow Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, received four Grammy nominations. Thanks to Jazz at Bard for another rare night of improvisation.

Sitting not-so-quietly on Mountain Rest Road, Unison Arts Center has become a world music hot spot, with regular classes in everything from swing dancing to African drumming. Matapat offers a journey into the soul of French Canadian music with lively melodies and captivating rhythms.
