Director Joel Coen and actor John Turturro will be in-person to screen “Miller’s Crossing,” a most atypical Coen Bros. film, wherein they break free of their lighter ’80s work, and set off to build as distinctive of a filmography as any in the last few decades. Set in an unnamed Eastern city in 1929, this masterful film noir revolves around Gabriel Byrne who plays an advisor to a ’30s mob boss (Albert Finney) hooked up with a two-timing moll (Marcia Gay Harden) and her shyster bookie brother (John Turturro).
